K. Scott Aja, PE As a professional engineer, Scott Aja has 33 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering. He is currently a Branch Manager, Vice President, and principal of the firm. Scott has worked as a Project Manager for municipalities and government and institutional agencies, as well as commercial and residential clients. He has developed expertise with land acquisition; grants administration; site and environmental planning; surveying (including GPS/GIS work); site and utility design; contract drawings; specifications; bid negotiations; contract management; and construction services. In addition, Scott has been responsible for the design of new and rehabilitated roads, sewerage collection and treatment, water distribution and treatment, storm water management networks, as well as recreational, marine, airport facilities, landfills, and traffic engineering. Scott is currently serving a two-year term as President of Salisbury Wicomico Economic Development, Inc. (SWED) and is a member of the Easton Rotary Club.

Mark Benzin, Prop LS Property Line Surveyor and Survey Project Manager, Mark C. Benzin brings over 32 years of experience to McCrone, Inc. Mark has a thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of ALTA, topographic, and boundary surveys, legal descriptions and easement preparation. His proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and total robotic surveying equipment and data collectors, and organizational and prioritizing skills contributes to the completion of work in a timely manner while ensuring that the best practices are followed as related to land surveying.

Steven Lemasters, EIT, LEED AP Design Engineer, Steven Lemasters specializes in the design and development of construction plans for commercial and residential development. His attention to detail and project tracking ensures that projects are completed as scheduled, including the required permits and agency approvals and revisions. His certification to verify on-site sediment and erosion control ensures compliance with state regulations. His prior survey experience in construction stakeout, boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys enhances his office design and construction management.

Donald Pogwist, LEED AP Project Designer, Don Pogwist has provided exceptional civil engineering design services for McCrone, Inc. for more than 20 years. As a project designer, Don specializes in planning and designing institutional, commercial, and residential developments as well as designing public works for municipal, county, and state projects throughout the Delmarva Peninsula. Areas of design competency include highway, grading, potable water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, storm water management, sediment and erosion control, and feasibility studies. He serves as primary civil design support because of his knowledge of federal and local standards and regulations.
